I thought that Medicinal Cannabis was legalised in Ireland at the end of last year. I have CFS with fibromyalgia and have read a number of accounts of medicinal cannabis helping, however when I asked my GP about trying it he said that they had not been told what the status was and how they were allowed to prescribe it - does anyone know whether it is legalised and what the process may be to try it.

There's a recent thread on the topic that was posted in the LTI forum that might give you the information you're looking for. In summary, it is not generally available to prescribe yet, although this has been waived in a couple of exceptional cases.
