    It's obviously awesome.

Toyota have a decent reputation for making some of the smoothest and most refined V8's around, and in the LS600h this is combined with their most powerful (and also 4WD) hybrid drivetrain. Should be good for around 25 MPG :D

Depreciation is astronomical, of course. €190k new, but you can get a 2008 model for less than a new Prius :)

I have no actual experience with them, totally out of my league...

The Tesla Model S is wiping the floor with them in the US market:

Gotta love the Lexus marketing guy in 2014:

“We don’t feel it’s a problem with the car. Many of the buyers in that segment want what’s new and they’re trying it. I think the question remains to be seen how many people will buy a second Tesla. They’ll probably come back [to Lexus].”

They didn't come back. They bought a second Tesla.

There's nothing "wrong" with the LS600h, it's just not competitive at it's price point.

And unlike the Tesla, the likelihood is that nothing will go wrong with it either. They're a barge, but an incredibly well engineered and superbly built barge. Surprised the sales were that high in 2016 given the dodgy facelift, how old it is and the much talked about replacement finally being revealed.

Lexus have always done well in customer retention owing to reliability and service. Father in law just bought another RX, after driving an XC90 T8 last year. The reason: well the Volvo was the nicer car, but had numerous small niggles and he's never had a single issue with a Lexus.
