Rauch mds spreader

I'm going to look at a 1.5 tonne mds 2008 spreader at the weekend. It has hyd opening, cover, extension, sieve etc but it hasn't got independent side opening/shut off.

I was wondering is this a big advantage to have on a spreader?
Some of my land requires a one side shut off but at the minute I spread with a wagtail so I don't have the luxury right now.

Would I be better off holding out for one?
    Any help appreciated.

Why do you need one side shutoff?
They are designed to adjust the vanes on the disc at the ditch side to throw half the width..

The fancy option is a deflector called a telemat that can be operated hydraulically to half the width..

For spreading three corner fields etc. So your saying it's an over rated option on them?
