Hi all, I have an open fire with a back boiler, I understand it's possible to fit a glazed door to remedy a down-draught. Does anyone have any information on there, and any prose and cons regarding same. Thanks in antisapation. Simon

Down draft is your problem, fitting a fire front might actually make it more dangerous with carbon monoxide as you will be restricting an already weak draft.
Best and safer to call out the experts in my opinion.
A stove installer / chimney specialist.

Down draft is normally a result of a damaged / blocked chimney or it been to close to the pitch of the roof that causes a negative pressure vortex if the wind is blowing a certain way.

Not something that can be answered safely without inspection here.
