William optics star 71 first light

    I decided i was going to upgrade the sw 80ed and after going back and forward for a few months i finally settled on a star 71 checked and tuned from FLO with a view to eventually getting another for a dual rig.

    It arrived on Thursday and managed to get 2.5 hrs on the Flaming Star and Tadpoles Saturday night.

    300* 30 second subs (my polar alignment is out and i need to get guiding) Gain 399 Offset 15

    100 darks, 100 bias

    Nice work Richard. That's one very fine new telescope you have there!
    Guiding is so much worth the effort, and it can be a lot of effort at the best of times.
