Speeding up Citizenship due to Trump?

I am here on a Critical Skills Permit and have been here a little over a year and 4 months. Is there any chance of some special circumstance being claimed that would allow me speed up the 5 year wait on citizenship for the extraordinary circumstances that are Trump? Any hope at all? I know I am grasping at straws here but I am truly terrified at what is going on and looking for any legal loophole at all.

Rules are not changing because trump is in. Its not Ireland's issue to fix.

In fairness don't get caught up in the hype as long as you are there legally then you are ok you will not be kicked out. Stop listening to all the drama queens

What's the connection between your citizenship and Trump? Trump is in the United States, we are in Ireland. Your citizenship is not Trump's business.

Wait 5 years and apply. Don't worry, you'll be grand.

Perhaps the OP is from one of the banned counties and wants to travel.

Perhaps the OP is from one of the banned counties and wants to travel.

As far as I know nationals of those countries aren't banned from Ireland. And I guess OP is here, in Ireland, on work permit or something (critical skills permission) as he/she mentioned. And I guess OP is talking about his Irish citizenship application which he/she will be able to submit after 5 years.

I might be wrong, but this is what I read.

Maybe the OP is an American Muslim or member of the lgbtq community that fears returning to the USA and wishes to apply for asylum here.

nothing to speed it up im afraid, i understand your worries though i have two workers on special skills visas based in Ireland/UK but that travel frequently due to the nature of their role, we are looking into what we need to do for when they travel to the US but its tricky because they seem to be moving the goal posts, first it was everyone from the countries, then people with green cards are okay, now it looks like they wont be able to refuse people on work visas issued in Ireland but where the origin country is one of the banned counties. its a mess but wait it out, the only thing is maybe speak to your local HR about travel, your safe in Ireland its only if you want to get into the US theres a problem.

Are you American working here on a critical skills permit? I don't understand why you'd think that your citizenship visa would be sped up on account of Trump. A bit more context would be nice.

Nothing is going to happen to you as a US citizen - you'll be fine.
