How to find out which auctioneer sold a particular house

    Is it possible to find out which auctioneer sold a particular house?

    Google the address and see if an old ad for the address appears on a website, might give you the info

    Tried this but if there is no ad or that doesnt work

    Is there anyway of finding out what a house sold for. I know myhome and daft publish a list but I'm trying to find the sold price of one house in particular that went sale agreed last October but still hasn't appeared on any published list

    The official record is the Property Price Register. Daft et al get their data from there. Also note, the reasons it might not be on the register are many, including the sale not completing or just simple typos in the entry.

    Has the sale actually closed yet?

    If it has, it will eventually appear on the PPR, as posted above. Sometimes addresses are misspelt or not in the usual form - I have no idea if this is on purpose or not, but sometimes you have to be a bit creative to find the sale details!

    ETA - I got sidetracked before posting - previous poster got there before me!
