Dumb question about Aer Lingus

Hey guys, seasoned traveller here with a bit of a dumb question.

If Aer Lingus sale small print says "book by 30 Jan," does that mean I still have tomorrow to book? I.e., it means "you can still book on this day" as opposed to "you must book before this day"??

    Prepositions, eh?

    Thanks!!

I always take that to mean book by midnight on that date so tomorrow should be fine.

It doesn't mean that there will still be cheap seats available up to the end of that date. There might be nothing left (at bargain prices) if you leave it until the last minute, same as with any sale, whether it's a bricks and mortar store or an airline.

If someone with an unlimited supply (e.g. Apple) offers discounts up to a specific date then you'd be ok leaving it until the last minute but airline sales always involve a finite number of seats and as the slogan says - 'when they're gone, they're gone'
