    Hi,

I plan on going to Canada in August\Sept. I will have a 2 year iec visa.

Can I go over on a holiday visa and only activate the IEC visa once I am set up over there.

    Thanks

Yes you can do that. Plenty of people have done exactly that. You may find it harder to get a job if you don't have the work permit in hand though.

Hi guys, have a similar question. Applied for IEC visa yesterday - hoping to travel in May. Passport expires in August 2018. Is this a problem? Should I get a new passport and resubmit my profile?

    Cheers

If you show up at the border with that passport, you'll only get a visa until the expiry date of the passport. You should get a new one before you leave for Canada and you should take both with you when travelling.
