Hi I'm currently a third year almost doing all honors except maths and business but I'm working towards honors. I don't want to do TY next year because I don't have any friends in my year. The friends that I have will be in 5th year next year and some will be in 6th year. TY is mandatory in my school so I can't skip it. I was thinking of changing schools but I heard that you have to do all pass subjects if you skip TY is that true or is that only in some schools?

I don't want to give up my honors subjects I've been working really hard for. But I also don't want to do TY because of personal issues such as bullying and low self esteem. I had a really bad year in 1st Year and I don't want to repeat that ever again.

I really need help and advice because I don't know what to do. Everything is pressuring me it feels like I'm pushed into a corner and I don't know what to do either way seems really bad and painful. I really wanna get a great job such as a lawyer or an ambassador and I don't want to give up my great grades and hard work I've put into everything.

Thank you for taking your time reading this I apologize for it being so long. I feel so hopeless as I have no idea what I should do.. 😢

I've never heard of this rule before and I don't think it exists in any schools I know of, although, I wouldn't advise skipping TY, especially so if you're having/have had problems with self esteem and bullying as it is a great year to rise above and/or become resilient to these things.
I understand that TY in your school may seem like hell but if you're changing schools I would certainly advise doing TY in the new school as if you change schools and go straight into fifth year, you will not only be very young for fifth year (which many people are) but you will also not be afforded the time to socialise and make friends with these new people that you're afforded in TY, plus, TY can actually be a lot of fun depending on the school.

I've never heard of that rule either. I don't think it's true, especially since you're not supposed to cover any of the LC curriculum during TY anyway. Don't worry about giving up your honours grades, you won't have to.
