I need advice on my spec

This will be my very first build and I really need your help. I will be installing Windows 10 or 8, what do you recommend, and running VMware and hopefully in the future doing a bit of VR gaming. I have a Samsung 850 Evo 500GB on order so don't mind the 500GB HDD. Specs below, thanks;

No pricing on the parts so can't tell really value for money.

But at a glance you'd be better off putting some more money into the psu. preferably a modular psu.

You could save more by going for the larger micro-ATX formfactor, B250 mobo+DDR4-2400.

If you're not overclocking then no need for a Z170/270 chipset. Z170 will work but go with the newer platform 2XX generally.

Waiting for Ryzen could mean you might squeeze a 1070 into your budget, it might not.

Windows - no point in going with anything other than the latest version. Infact although it *may* work Kaby lake only officially supports Windows 10.
