There is to be no discussion of Donald Trump himself in this thread or the thread will be closed. All replies must mention RTÉ.

RTE has always had a bit of bias in fairness.

You'd have to give us an instance where RTE are anti-Trump.

It is very disconcerting that conservatives are so pro-Trump, surely within conservatism there is a major fraction that are against Trump. To me they are acting like follow the leader no matter what.

How does RTE's coverage of Trump differ significantly from that of other European state media ?

Compare the big issues here and compare to what Trump says/does. Things like jobs and health care. RTE can't exactly ignore what he does on the kinda stuff that's nightly news here.

Or a different question what good news from our perspective has there been to report ?

[ old chestnut about RTE having a reputation amongst some for being a bunch of Marxist-Lennists and sure what else would they expect RTE to say ]

Elmo take a warning for violating post 2. Ban next time. Given the subject matter of the thread, if I have to hand out a ban to anybody it will also mean the end of the thread.

Don't know about RTE but there are fools saying that Kenny should boycott the whitehouse on st Patricks day, in the real world Kenny should keep well in with Trump.

C'mon, rte coverage of the whole Trump election campaign / victory & his 1st week as President has been hugely biased. The way turbidy goes on you'd think the black plague was back ..... it continues throughout the day.....joe Duffy, darcy, even the drive time with Mary Wilson....it's all negativity re the new President. The man WAS elected by the people......let's give him 6months / a year & see how it goes.

Sorry, it's becoming clear people are unable to seperate the broadcasting issue from the political issue. This is now off topic for discussion
