    How wide is your cavity?

The external face of your window frame should be at the inner face of the outer leaf.

Therefore you shouldn't really need this product.

Is extra support for the sill not required to prevent the window pushing the sill downwards.

Because of this, your engineer needs to detail exactly what you use. It's a non standard cavity and becomes a structural issue/question.

calls have not sat onto inner leaf for years so the cavity width is not a factor really. still, could be a good product to use.

Can you post the construction Cill detail, for discussion?

Im still waiting on the drawings, engineer is very slow:(. Was going to suggest these to him as a cold bridge free option if they were suitable. Maybe no extra support is needed at all under the sill ? But i have seen bracket supports on similar cavities posted on this forum.

No worries, sure when you have the detail, we can discuss the support & thermal bridging etc

Are the block work opes formed already?

Out of interest, what wall tie spacing are you using for a 200mm cavity? The regs only give guidance up to cavity widths of 150mm and even at that its ties at 450mm crs each way! I'm cutious to know how this affects a 200mm cavity.

To answer your original question - i've seen thqt product work very well on a number of school projects. Watch the spacing though!

The regs stop at 150mm and state that any wider needs to be designed as part of the structure by an engineer, hence my questions above about cavity width and OP getting her engineers input.
