Dial tone question?

Hi folks, just a quick question.

When calling an Irish mobile when the person is in England, do I get an international/different dial tone?

I always thought it was just outside of the EU when the calling sound was different to the sound of calling within Ireland, but I'm told otherwise.

This is to solve a bit of an argument so I'd really appreciate your input!

    Many thanks.

Please move if incorrect forum. I was unsure where to post!

I think you mean the ringtone? The dialtone would always be localized as you wouldn't hear one on a mobile.

Yes! Sorry! I meant the sound of it ringing when I call them. Do I hear a different ringing sound when they would be in the UK as opposed to when they be in Cork?!!!
