Recording from TV

Hi, I have an LG37LV/LW TV. It has built in Saorview and I have a Sky box attached. I recently left Sky so lost my record function. There is no record function on TV but there is a usb port. Series Link is very much missed. Is there an affordable option (Euro 200 approx.). Thanks in advance.

For series link for UK channels you'll need a proper Freesat box ( or Linux one with a bit of setting up or a PC with tuner card and lots of setting up - see other threads on http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=55 YMMV )

Freesat boxes are pretty much plug and play. For Northern Ireland channels use postcode BT1 1AA or just BT1 if you're lazy. They won't do RTE/TV3 but your TV does that. I've only got second hand ones off ebay & co. so not sure where'd you get a new one here. Try Amazon too. Most people / places only deliver to UK so you may need to use parcelmotel/parcelconnect//address pal/parcelwizard
