Had a new PVC window fitted, replacing another PVC window and the banshee is present when ever there is any wind of any significance.
The past two nights have been unbelievable.
The old window had a top and bottom ope on one side only, this one has top and bottom ope on each side.
    It in a gable end.
Any one any suggestions as to what might be a solution: she is there whether window is open or closed.

I am considering fitting a roller shutter but before I go down that route I said would ask here.

    Thanks as always

Is it sealed around where the outer frame meets the wall?

Can you feel the drought coming in anywhere?

No, its sealed all the way around and even with all 4 opes opened its still the same in the wind.

[I will check the sealing with a CCTV camera as its a second story gable but am happy its sealed]
    Thanks.

Often its a hair line gap between window and sill.
If it's not visable inside with loose seals.

Feel for a draft, you will feel it if it's internal, if not it's external.

I'm sure this is too obvious to miss but I'll throw it out there just in case. There's no vents in the window?

Thanks, had not thought of it as a leak issue.

As I am still suffering from sleep insomnia and I get up about 05:00 most days I have been evicted to the spare room so I am only getting the banshee eile as opposed to hearing it myself..:)

Okay, just to wrap this up.
    Window installer came today.

The sealant has failed, by shrinking, and it has created the air gaps as mentioned above.
Will be redone inside and out the next fine day.
Thanks as always for the ideas.
