Hi, my parents have both been in receipt of private pension payments for the last three years However it appears they are now being taxed on this payment having not been for the last couple of years. Both are 68 and their circumstances have not changed. Could anyone shed some light on why this may be the case, was there something changed in the last budget to reflect these payments now being taxable (USC perhaps?) Thanks

    All income is taxable.

    Would need more info.

How much tax credits do they get?

if sent their payslip (with names blacked out) from this year and prior to this year I may be able to tell you something.
Otherwise its like asking how many feet tall is the building that I work in.
I know of no changes in the budget that would effect taxes on personal pension payments.
