Home Theatre setup question

    Howdy,

    I'm trying to setup an old Sony 5.1 home theatre system to a Smart TV and Sky box. The HT has optical in and coaxial in.

    Question: if I connect the HT to tv using optical cable and HT to Sky Box using coaxial, will I be able to get surround sound in both?

    (Tv is used to watch Netflix through the app and Chromecast etc)
