Having trouble with Saorview (just dropped sky for FTA and Soarview) using built in tuners

I can tune in Saorview and mux 1 (ch54) seems perfect but for mux 2 (ch58) i've about 60% signal strength and 0% quality. (I'm missing RTE1 and few more)

So, don't hate me but i'm using bog standard rabbit ears \_/ so I need a better indoor aerial. I would get an outdoor one but I'm not going to be living here too much longer and I haven't got the tools to do the job properly

Just looking for opinions on a decent indoor aerial because I see a lot of aerials that are basically just more expensive versions of the ears I have, not even amplified. I even see some VHF ones so I'll avoid them

Living in Dublin (18km from Kippure)

    Thanks :D

So called rabbits ears are VHF aerials for FM or DAB radio, completely unsuitable for UHF TV.

No guarantee that any indoor aerial will work but one of the better ones is the Telecam TCE 2000. Google it.

Note amplifiers are pointless on indoor aerials, you cannot amplify what is not there. All that will happen is that you amplify the noise. Amplifiers are designed to overcome the loss on a long run of cable which you won't have on an indoor aerial.

Thanks. 0% signal on those channels

I saw that telecam on google. It's like a satellite dish indoors!!

I had a look at this
    http://www.powercity.ie/index.php?par=30-72-130020&action=moreinfo

Since it goes on the dish all I need is a ladder and probably about the same price a powered aerial would cost

Next door have an aerial on the arm of their dish so maybe signal just isn't great round here for indoor aerial
