The main problem for most is deciding on what hardware to get (receivers) to fulfil your needs.

For others to help with this you need to be very specific about what your requirements are.

Have you permission to erect a TV aerial and/or Sat dish? (some apartments do not allow this)
Do you need to view different TV channels in multiple rooms?
Do you need to view TV channels on devices such as tablet, phone etc?
How many concurrent users will access the TV channels?
How many concurrent recordings do you wish to allow for?

With that info posted you should receive better info.

Thanks for your reply..We have a tv in kitchen so yes I'd want multi room viewing..usually the son hogs the TVs in sitting room and I'm left in the kitchen ..I record regularly, at the most 2 programmes at once.occassionly watch catch up on my apps tv3 RTÉ etc so I'd still have those on via my internet..

If your requirement is only two TVs and no need for TV on other devices such as tablets, phones etc., then the simplest set up would be two separate receivers - one for each TV, with 2 coax cable for Satellite brought to each receiver.
The receivers will have to have two satellite tuners in each.
That will give you all the FTA satellite channels on both TVs and allow each to record a channel while another is being watched.

You then need to see what you need to view the Irish channels.
Can you use the TV tuners to view the Irish channels.
Will you want to record those channels at times?

You might need to get two combo receivers - with two satellite tuners and one tuner for Irish TV.
