Dash cam stops recording

I have my dash cam wire to a permanent live and am using this hard wire kit
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222317733044

The last couple of mornings the dash cam has stopped recording while park, this morning it stopped after 20min.
I switch the cam off when I come home every day so it off for most of the day and night.

The LEDs on the cam stay on after it stops but seem faded.

Wondering would it be down to the low voltage protector or is the cam freezing.
    The cam is this one

    What's the permanent live?

    What's the permanent live?

I've a piggyback on the boot open fuse.
Bit of an update on this...
It looks now like it's not the power to the cam that's responsible.
The SD card was full but it's supposed to overwrite the earliest footage, as they do.

I deleted all the footage last night and today it kept recording.

Strange how it just stopped overwriting a few days ago.
Also strange that it would start recording when switched on every morning only to stop after a while.

Maybe there's a firmware that fixes that? Have a look here: https://www.nextbase.co.uk/help-and-support/in-car-cameras-series/

    It's not an nextbase.
Oddly, when looking at the files on my laptop it put the last vid before it shut down in a separate folder which if I remember right, was labeled 'SO'
All other files are just single files (no folder)
Also it records in 5minute segments and it recorded the whole 5 minutes before stopping.

A bit of googling led me to some people with mobius and blackvue cams having the exact same issue as me.
Mostly people using Kingston class 10 64gb cards.
Some were solved by formatting the card with SD formatter 4.0.
Others changed the card to a 32gb class 4 and had no issues since.

Did you find the culprit eventually ? I've got the same exact problem with a very similar Cam, most likely having the same Firmware as yours ...

    Yes, it was the card.
Changed card and hasn't happened since.

Thanks for the prompt feedback! Thing is I tried two different cards and it gave the same outcome - maybe it is the way I am formatting them. If formatting the Card differently doesn't solve it I'll change to yet another card and see how it goes. Many thanks again ... .and Regards all the way from Malta :)

Just a quick question: What SD Card were you using before and what SD Card did you switch to? Just curious. Thanks ;)

Samsung evo32gb gave me trouble and switched to a Toshiba 32gb.
Also, I tried the Samsung in a gopro after and it also gave trouble in that.

Switched to a Toshiba 32GB Exceria ...same outcome :/  I guess I'd have to replace my DashCam since this one's unreliable as it is.  Other than this problem, this Cam's great.
