SKY Broadband/Landline ?

Has anyone experience with 'SKY Broadband' and landline telephone in the Mid-west or other area ? My Eir contract is about to expire and new contracts look absolutely penal. Sky seems a but better but I'm wary of hidden problems or 'catches'.
    Thanks

I have been with Sky for broadband and phone since they started doing them. I have had no problems and the broadband is the same as when I was with Vodafone and Eircom before that. I live in the countryside and am on DSL with a speed of 4mb. This is the fastest speed I can get and no different than any of the providers.

I have been with them for nearly a year, switched from Vodafone, and find the service to be substantially more reliable than with Vodafone, where they would disconnect you to refresh the IP address daily (at a guess), some time after midnight.

Sky is re-packaged BT, which is great. I had BT before Vodafone took over and the service quality dropped.

Thanks all :) There's always a fear switching, that something might go wrong, something hidden but I think their E39 per month, phone and broadband, or possibly with an extra e.7.50 for Irish calls package looks good :)
