Hi. On the death of a landlord , how does it work with the remaining years of the lease. Is it the norm for the lease to reach its end before it's sold? Is the income still tax free to the decandants? Thanks.

A man is rich in proportion to the number of things which he can afford to let alone.

Unless specified in the agreement, the lease will continue till end date.
There's nothing stopping both parties agreeing to end it or indeed offering the remnant compensation to end early

You have to admit, it's very attractive to a lot of people.
