    Hi i am wondering is there a masters or another course to study midwifery if you are not already a registered nurse in ireland? i already have a B.A but its in a totally unrelated field.

    Hi, no postgraduate course unless you're a nurse in Ireland. Direct entry is a 4 year qualification so you can go straight in that way.

    Hi there, I realise this post was a while ago! I am in my final year of a masters in midwifery in UWS Scotland. You do not need to having a nursing background. I have an unrelated degree in childcare. The programme is three years and I moved over from Ireland to do it :)
