Nikki Hayes is takeing over on demad. Paul Bryne has resinged to join clare fm. Nikki is takeing over from the 30th of january starts at 7pm

It looks like it's gone full circle for Nikki Hayes. Her big break into legal radio in the '90s was with East Coast. She then left it for Spin 1038 in 2002. After about a year, Nikki went to 2FM (and appeared on RTE television) only to end up a few years later back on Spin 1038. Last year, Nikki left Spin again, this time for 4FM. So now, she will be back with East Coast FM.

She's been on 4FM on and off in the last while mostly filling in I think. I take it she's finished with 4FM so? She sounded a bit out of place on 4FM, a bit "young".

It's odd that 2FM got rid of her and eventually replaced her with her clone Tracy Clifford.

Well she must sound 'younger' on East Coast, she is 37!

I have often thought that too ! Also the way they threw credible indie dj Jenny Huston under a bus only to eventually bring back the evening new muisic/Indie format with piss poor attention seeking Louise McSharry presenting

I think the fact that she was planting made up stories about herself in the media had a lot to do with it.

That she was seriously assaulted on a night out and all the associated trauma that comes with it. Turns out she hadn't even reported it to the police before running to a newspaper, turns out the truth and Nikki's version of the truth were somewhat different....

Doubt it, 2fm promised an number of young presenters the sun moon and stars back in the 00s but quickly discarded them, Wes Darcy, Conor G, John Power, Damien McCaul, Dave Redmond Jim Jim Nugent, Orla Rapple, Jenny Huston

Is the show prerecorded. Have noticed her links crashing in over songs to the point that you can not even here her and gaps so big at the end that you could park a car in them.
