I adopted 2 girl rabbits, one is 5 months and one is 9 months.  Their urine is very smelly. Also given the benefits of longevity, I am thinking of getting them spayed. Would like to get some recommendations of rabbit savvy vet. They are tiny N dwarf rabbits...
    Thanks!
    Jen

I know you said North Dublin but if you're willing to travel Bairbre O Malley in Bray is fantastic with small animals!

I'd also highly recommend Paul Kelly in Ratoath, however we mainly go to him with dogs.

I travel a 160km round trip with my rabbits to Bairbre O'Malley. Only vet that seems to be able to treat rabbits, also they have the VHD2 vaccine which is really important but hard to get.

    yep bairbre is the best.
urine could be strong if they are not drinking enough, or getting too many greens, a good dry mix food, an veg a couple of times a week is fine ,plenty of fresh water daily an plenty of good quality hay

Funny our vet has had pics of rabbit patients up the last few days in their Clontarf branch! (Anicare)

Yes either of these as Paul Kelly is the vet for Tayto Park! Bairbre is fantastic with small furries!

Anicare do treat a lot of rabbits too & we have brought Guinea Pigs to them a lot. If they are unsure about something, they will check with or refer you to Bairbre!

Whereabouts are you? We use Blanchardstown Vet Hospital, both for our pets and if we have any issues with our small animal boarders and they are very good. My rabbit had bloat last year and they were fab, and we have also used them with our guinea pig who had a respiratory infection.

Palmerstown Vet's in D20 are brilliant with Rabbits, their main vet is a Rabbit Specialist. When our Netherlands Dwarf was very close to dead from a back injury and shock, Jennifer saved her and now she's perfect.
