Good time to sell farmland?

    Hello folks

I have 12 acres of medium to good farmland to sell in east Galway, within the next few years. Its let at the moment so is creating a small income. I am not necessarily in a huge hurry to sell and have time. Is it a good time to sell now? Or might it be better in future? Thoughts.

    Thanks

If you are anywhere near the new M17/18 motorway wait until the lads who sold land for the motorway have to spend money to avoid CGT.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Roll over relief is long gone as well unfortunately, Even with CPOs you have to pay Capital GAINS tax whether you reinvest in land or not

    thanks lads,

I was more interested to know if land prices are low or good at the moment, or indeed if there is a possibility of land moving up or down in price.

    Cheers

Top quality land that needs very little maintenance to keep in good condition will never lose its value while high maintenance type land is not as attractive and therefore loses value
