    Oregano.

I have this bottle of oregano oil capsules. It was recommended to me years ago as an antifungal (by a doctor) and lately I thought I might take them again.
You can buy them at a health-food shop, it's not a dangerous drug or anything.

But dammit this is the most repetitive thing I have ever swallowed. All day long I am burping pizza.

So here's my question: should I take oregano Before food, after food, WITH food, or between meals?
The labels, the original instructions, and the online wealth of Google all give different opinions on this.

What do Boards think? Ever tried it?

The doctor who recommended that to you was incorrect. There is no evidence that oregano oil treats anything. It's a waste of money. See https://medlineplus.gov/druginfo/natural/644.html

    Ah - thank you, @Arbie.
    But that wasn't the question.
I was asking, how best to avoid the "repeating" effect and the pizza-flavoured burps?

Not taking them is honestly the best way. Any other method won't be nearly as effective.

I appreciate your opinions, of course.
The article mentions intestinal parasites, which actually was an issue at the time (India)
The stuff certainly does hit the intestinal tract, if the wind it produces is any guide.

    So, no constructive suggestions?

Peppermint oil is best taken at bedtime in my experience, maybe try it with your oregano oil.

    That was a constructive suggestion.

With respect, it is not a suggection for how to take a very aromatic oil by mouth without causing very aromatic wind. That was the original post - not a request for advice about its efficacy.
