Galway City. My particular address does not seem to be able to able to avail of Virgin Media broadband, etc. However, the address next door can and so can the houses across the street.

They said that they will send out an engineer to check the 'hub' or cable to see if my address can be setup.

First of all can someone from Virgin please let me know after the engineer survey is done, will the address be capable of having virgin media? If not...why not? Tech support couldn't tell me.

Why would all the houses around me be capable of getting the service except mine? I am capable of getting all other providers to the house. I have a phone line but no phone...

    Any help appreciated

    Virgin TalkTo is here: http://www.boards.ie/ttforum/1546#

    Their reps wont reply here.

Issues like this can arise with an RF line reaching capacity or where permission was previously not given. Wait to see what the surveying tech tells you.
