Vet prescribed millophyline for my king charles heart condition, but m a bit puzzled because it says on the internet that companies stopped manufacturing it in 2010.

Can anyone advise whats going on?!

Possibly they/their suppliers have a stock of it? The thyroid medicine my boy was on was discontinued a good while before my vet switched to a different brand - thank god because it was taking weeks to source the other one! The new one is easier to break up too lol! :p

Check the box or blister. There should be an expiry date on it. If that hasn't been reached I wouldn't worry.

A bit of Googling reveals it has a shelf life of 5 years, so unlikely that it's still OK.

What's the expiry date on the pills you got from the vet OP.....Or did the vet give a prescription?

The vet gives the tablets loose in a small bag, no expiration date!

Sounds like you need to change vets. There are far better treatments than millophyline available for the kinds of heart conditions that affect CKS ...
