If this has done the rounds already I do apologise. It's the first I've seen.

Put up a Wanted ad on adverts. A while later I get a comment asking if I'm ever in Dublin (my ad says my location is Meath).

We exchange PMS about price and I offer a unashamedly derisory offer to get the ball rolling. He accepts saying that's fair.

I ask for some pictures of the item and he replied no problem to give him a few mins. (you see where this is going). He sends me an email with the photos which I recognise almost immediately as they are from a website forum that I happen to visit of a user on there selling the same item a few weeks ago.

The user is WhizzMan who has now been banned bit more importantly their PayPal email address is ogough1 @ outlook.com

His email says Oliver Gough but his PayPal says Oisin Gough.
Just in case anyone might come across him again.

What payment method was he looking for?

Just out of curiosity was it a gift payment (you pay the fee) or goods payment (he pays the fee) over paypal he sent you?

If it's a goods payment you'd be fine under paypal getting your money back.

I suspect it was a gift payment though?

Thanks for the info, plenty of scammers going around, I never buy anything off adverts thats to be posted unless its a shop with good feedback.
