Filmmaker seeking Trans people for Documentary

22 year old trans guy from Cork City seeking participants in thesis film for UCC Film and Screen Media degree.

My film is going to be an investigative documentary divided into two sections. Firstly, a cis-gender actress will be playing the role of a male - giving a cis person the opportunity to understand how difficult transitioning can be, and to feel the scrutiny of the public eye. Secondly, I will be interviewing trans people to give some personal insight - stories, experiences, hardships and triumphs. It goes without saying that, given my deep connection to the issue, the film will in no way be exploitative or edited dishonestly. If anything, I want to give people a genuine insight into the average lives of trans people.

The film will be screened in University College Cork in front of students, faculty (and participants, if they wish) but will not be distributed elsewhere. We observe all legalities of professional filmmaking throughout - including full release forms. Considering the sensitivity of the issue, I'd also happily provide a preview to participants to ensure satisfaction with the piece. All logistics in terms of location, shooting dates etc can be arranged directly with individuals.

If you're interested, or know someone who is, please DM me.

OP I think you are genuine, however your post skirts the line of breaking point 13 of our charter. I know you're not looking for written interviews but a documentary is similar enough.

I'm locking this thread, but I will leave it up and visible. Please familiarise yourself with the charter before posting again. Thanks.

    13. If you want people to answer a questionnaire or survey or to answer questions for a piece of writing that will be published or broadcast then you must get permission off at least one moderator before you post it up. Please see surveys/questionnaires thread for more details before posting up any kind of survey.

NOTE. If you are a journalist/author/blogger/writer you must get permission from a moderator to seek members opinions. For any piece of writing you can start a new thread once you have permission from 1 moderator and you are open and honest about the intention to publish or broadcast.
