Is it worth my while studying to be a chef in Ireland?

I don't know why I'm having doubts, but is it?

I just seem to have this notion in my head that what I learn in an Irish college alongside 50 other people learning and being taught the exact same way, won't benefit me that much and will be a waste of time?

Or am I being completely silly and I will learn plenty and develop my own ways and own hand at doing the things I learn?

Like for instance alot of French, Italian chefs I know just seem to be taught a different way - I can't explain it, almost like its in their soul, like being from that country taught them how to cook... am I making any sense?
