I have standard unused Sky satellite cable running in my attic to my office, can this be used for an external antenna?

Would make installation a breeze if all I had to do was drill the gable wall in the attic and feed the cable out.

Sadly not. The impedance on satellite co-ax is different to that of cables used for LTE antennae. You would get no signal, or at least issues with dropped packets.
