    Does anyone know what is needed or involved in swaping a farm between brothers

    Apart from the necessary paper work, and market value figures, there will be CAT and CGT issues to considered.
    However due to the enormous power wielded by the farming lobby, the tax exemption limits etc are much higher than for the urban dweller.
    Look at the revenue site.

    In case you disagree about the lobby, just look at the rent Fair Deal scheme agreed.. an absolute scandal
