Do I need to run another cable?

I have a point in my house where all the phone wires and network points meet.

I have one cat5 cable running from there to another point where my Virgin Media hub is located.

Will I have to run two cables from the VM hub (1 cat5 and 1 phone line) or is there a way to get by with just the one (existing) cat5 cable? I fear the answer is yes.

If you are willing to sacrifice gigabit you could wire a cable yourself using 2 pairs for 100mbit and 2 pairs for telephony. Otherwise, you need two.

Thanks L1011 for the info. I am unwilling. Looks like I'll be drilling holes like a proper DIY'er!
