Good Single-Player Games to Play in Short Bursts?

Since I got my new job back in September I've found it awkward to put my time into games that I'd usually put hours into (The Witcher, Resident Evil, Valkyria Chronicles etc.), so as a result I've decided to have a look for some games I can play perhaps half an hour to an hour at a time. Would anyone be able to point out any good ones?

I'd rather go for single player games as multiplayer games are hit and miss for me broadband-wise (5 people living in the house) and I enjoy completing games as well :)

P.S. I would've threw this on the general gaming forums but I'm pretty stuck to my PS4 the past few months.

    Thanks in advance :)

Some of the games I enjoy popping into for an hour or two:

    Doom
    Mortal Kombat XL
Strider (was free a good while back on PS+)
    Metro - Redeux
Borderlands THC (Currently 14.99 in argos which is serious value)

I have heard that the 2 Wolfenstein games are brilliant.

I know you said no MP but for single player storyline the following are good:

    Titanfall 2
    Battlefield 1

Yeah I'd agree with Jonny too but he forgot the last of us.
The Division has a pretty good single-player

Diablo III I've found very easy to pick up after not playing for a few weeks. Good, mindless, button bashing fun.

Doom is definitely one I have been meaning to get.
    I forgot I had Diablo 3 actually.

Thanks lads I'll keep a look out for some of those

The last of us gets brilliant reviews (I must go back and finish it)
Diablo 3 is excellent but far better with some co-op play :)

    I've been on the lookout for similar, I don't have any AAA games that I play in short bursts but do have a few indie type games, a few off the top of my head include the following;

    Rocket League
    Trials
    Rogue Leagacy
    The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
    Fez
    Super Meat Boy
    Hotline Miami
    SteamWorld Dig
    Broforce

"Don't Starve" is a brilliant little survival game too :)

Earth Defence Force 4.1 has pretty much become my go to quick blast for an hour game on PC. So much fun. It's on PS4 as well.

I don't think it's well loved, but I'm enjoying the new Mirrors Edge in short bursts to break up Final Fantasy XV.

Very good, upgraded my ps4 to the ps4 pro (had a gift voucher) and got Mirrors edge with it.... loved the first one but haven't opened it yet, will definitely open it up soon so.

Killing floor 2 - it's fantastic game, but I play it on pc. Ps4 version should be good too. Can play online or play solo ( like I do). Its like left4dead, but better. Lots of classes with unique weapons, you earn XP and improve your class, get perks later.
Very easy to jump in for a game or two and you stikk progress your class. Best thing is that game is extremely satisfying. Guns feel amazing, graphics great, very gold challenge.

Diablo 3 - no need for introduction, great hack amd slash rpg, which works perfect with controller. Easy to jump in and jump out.

Resident evil revelations 2 - not the main game, but that arcade mode. So fun and you get better weapons with customisation.

Darkest dungoen - this should be on tablet in the first place. X com type game, but is a lot easier to pick up and put down.
