Connecting Flights

    Hi All,

First time on boards, so apologies if this topic has already been covered.

I'm flying to Orlando in October. Not my first time there but it is my first time NOT going direct and am feeling very anxious about the whole flights thing.

I'm flying Aer Lingus to Terminal B of Newark airport. Then from Terminal C to Orlando. When I check in at Dublin airport, will they make sure my luggage transfers to United Airlines flight automatically? Will they check me in and give me boarding passes for United Flight?? Even though I'll have gone through US Clearance in Dublin airport, will I still have to go through security again because I'm changing terminals in Newark?

Thank you for any help you can give me :-)

If it's all part of the same booking your bags will go directly on to the next plane. When they are putting the tags on the bags in Dublin Airport the code MCO will be Orlando airport, check for this.

Last time I did connecting flights I checked in both flights myself online and so had the boarding cards already printed but the previous time before that I was handed all passes at the desk in Dublin Airport, depends if you get codes to check in with prior or not. You shouldn't have to go through security again in Orlando as your flight will be classed as an internal US flight, just make sure you remain within the secure area and you should be able to travel to the other terminal.

Using the United reference on the Aer Lingus booking confirmation, be sure to log into Untied website and pick seats on the United flights, you can do this today for free.

Goingnowhere, I didn't realise I could do that. I'm going to choose my seats straight away.
