folks just caught a glimpe of some charolais breeder on rare breed last week, she locked a cow in a head locker before going into pen, looked a good system for calving pen as very easy catch cow, anyone know who makes those gates or seen them before, as I say i was only half watching so dont recall rightly if it was 1 gate with a head locker built in or if it was seperate gates
    thanks

It looked like a barrier with one self locking section built into it. She used a bucket with some nuts to coax the cows head out and locked her in it.
I'd say any of the crowds that make the self locking barriers would make them.
She wouldn't be far from Gibneys in Oldcastle, I think they do them.

must rejig my calving pens this summer, i have a little crush made from a fixed skulling gate and section type gate but its very hard to get cow into it, you have to go into pen with her to try and coax her in which isnt ideal

Thé system used is mainly used for housing bulls. Teemore have these off thé shelf.
