So as the title says I am currently looking for work , I have no college education but I am just looking for work on building sites etc. I don't have much experience in the construction industry but I am just really looking for general work not skilled work. I would just like to know how to go about it. I have a safe pass and manual handling certificate I've also got a health and safety at roadworks ticket. It just seems that every job I see advertised is looking for years of experience that I don't have , I would go back to retail as a last resort but with a young family I don't want to go back to working 12 hours a week as that barely covered petrol costs when I was doing it before. I know my grammar is terrible sorry if this is hard to read . Thanks in advance

Someone else with more specific knowledge may be more help, but I suspect this kind of work isn't going to be found looking through job sites or classified ads. These might be more back to the old school method of going up to large building sites, asking to speak to the foreman, explaining that you've got all your basic certs and you're looking for general skivvy work on site.

At worst they'll say they're not hiring. More likely they'd give you pointers on somewhere else that may be hiring, or the number of their company's HR people.

Would you consider working on a farm there's a big Labour shortage at the moment I'd say your local farm relief office would be glad to see you coming in their door you'd surely get a handy week 40-50 hours more if you wanted it plus farm relief services would have you insured as well it could lead to work as fencing etc with them and you could get work on a site from rhat

    Better living everyone

If you have your own transportation and a good work ethic just Google farm relief services to find your nearest branch
