    Hi guys

I'm hoping to go travelling for 3-4 weeks this summer, however I work full time in a job that is already short staffed.. I've never gone travelling before and hoping to go away with a few friends.

Would anybody know how I'd go about getting my holidays without P*ssing off my employer?

    Thanks in advance

Have you asked for it? Definitely your first port of call..

After that maybe you need to think about which is more important to you.

    Thanks for the reply, Lyle.

I've gotten a "yes, maybe, we'll see how it goes" answer, and I need to book it quite soon if it's going to work out for budgets, etc.

However, since I've gotten that answer (3 weeks ago) I haven't heard anything more about holidays. Again, I just don't want to annoy them, but at the same time I do want a concrete answer. Even a solid 'No' at this stage would be better so I could make alternative plans.
