Jobbridge allowance & signing off

    Hello,

Advice really needed, I left my jobbridge to move on to a paid job, I left with about 10 weeks left on the internship. Unfortunately the job never worked out.

Heres the thing, i never signed off the jobbridge, because when I started the job, I realised that on day one that this was not going to work out. I kept the allowance open so maybe I could go back, but the host company on jobbridge could not take me back. I know I should have just went to the dole office and explained etc..but it just got out of hand, with the offices closed over Christmas etc, i just kept thinking i would get work and I could sign off completely. My jobbridge end date was this week.

I'm still out of work, trying really hard to get something, and if I contact the dole office about my situation I will probably have to repay the money, money I don't have. I don't know what to do,

    Can anyone advise?

Whatever else you say when you go in tomorrow (there's nothing else you can do but go in and explain) don't say that their offices were closed over Christmas because they were closed for precisely 3 days over the whole holidays
