mac network but no drives map-able

Have my home network set up & am running Sierra on my main machine & a mac mini that's supposed to be a server with USB drives attached.

The mini is running 10.6.8 (latest it will support) & while I can see it as a shared device, I can't map any drives to my main machine. This means that every time I restart I have to point iTunes to it & also am not able to run the backups as the backup drives (apart from time machine) are attached to the mini.

Is there some utility or app I could use to do it as the normal way isn't working, or is there something I could do ?

Write a script to do it when you log in

    or something like this :

Thanks. Trying it in automator & one of the drives I want to map is greyed out. On inspection this drive is formatted as case sensitive. Would this make a difference ?
