I bought a sink from ikea and when connected up, it has a very small hose for the hot and when on, the hot water is very slow at coming out. The hose is as thing as a marker/pen. Any tips on how i can make it flow better.

The idea tap is most likely for high pressure water and chances are you have standard system with attic water tank and gravity feed hot water. If this the case the only way you can significantly improve is to convert to a pumped water system.
It would make more sense to change the tap

Is it just a small pump or big change to the system?

It would be a big enough change. It would be far cheaper to replace the tap.
