    Got a new GTX 1080

    https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GeForce-GTX-1080-GAMING-X-8G.html#hero-overview

this one, since install it has been shutting down my PC regularly with no warning. Temps seem fine 60c when under load.

Event viewer shows nothing other than the odd system restarted after an unexpected error.

    5960x watercooled at 20c, 32gb DDR4 with MSI Mpower 99s mobo.

If I play Doom it shuts down after about 5 minutes. Used to have 290x2 and never an issue, last Nvidia card was the infamous 6800 with the Nvloop error 12 or 13 years ago.

Tested the rails on the Antec 550W PSU I had and the 1080 was drawing more from the PCI than the PSU could give.

    New PSU problem solved.
