    Hi all,

Sorry if this has been posted before but I couldn't find a thread on it. Seems like there would be one.

Anyway, we're living in a 3 bed semi. We have a Vokera Mynute 14se currently that is on its last legs. Been in for around 15 years so good innings.

So we need a replacement. Going to get the grant etc...

Unfortunately we're on a budget currently so cheaper the better. At the same time if long term wise it'll be cheaper efficiency wise to get all this zonal control lark I'll do that.

My only fear with zonal control etc is that's it's just more stuff that can break.

Any recommendations of what way to go and any company recommendations are most welcome.

    Thanks

If you want to claim the seai grant you have to zone as grant is only payable on a boiler replacement if in conjunction with zoning
The cost of a new boiler and zoning would cost you in the region of €2500-€3000
    Depending on setup
If you wanted to go for a boiler by it self you would be in the region of €1600-€1900 depending on boiler and setup

You could get an ideal logic with a 5 year warranty which comes with a free Magnaclean filter these days supplied and fitted for 1600

A cheap boiler is a cheap boiler !!!

For the sake of €200 extra , you will get a better boiler.
Do your research first on what boiler gives long reliable life.
A breakdown and parts can cost in excess of €200 - €300
