Hey all. I want to remove taxback.com as my agent on revenue.ie but I can't seem to find the option online. I'm a little worried that if I do my own taxes online that they'll get the commission for it? I emailed taxback.com before about removing themselves from my account and IIRC they said they couldn't? And then they started calling me every day for about 3 weeks >:( i completely forgot they were still down as my agent and I already filled in my online forms on Friday, it just occurred to me now to check the agent

    Login to ROS online
Under services select manage tax registration
Remove Agent Link under Income Tax option

Thanks for the reply. All I see is this when I go into tax registrations

Are you signed up to ROS online or is that PAYE anytime?

ros online, I can see taxback.com listed as my agent on the PAYE anytime part

Actually, looking at revenue.ie, ROS and revenue "myaccount" seem to be different things, that's probably where I'm going wrong! I have no idea what to fill in on the ROS page, it says I need to apply for an RAN and asks for registration numbers etc?! This is why I used taxback.com in the first place, I can't made head nor tail of this!!

If you want to file returns yourself you will have to register for ROS online (assuming it's a form 11 you need to file). Once registered for ROS you'll be able to remove taxback as agents.

Your tax registration number is your PPS number if you are self employed.

I'm not self-employed :o would it be my employers PPS number? And I'm selecting PAYE-Emp for the Tax Type/Approval No, is it?

Sorry for all the questions I'm sure all this is really obvious to most people, I'm just particularly clueless when it comes to this kind of thing!

Are you required to file a Form 11 or form 12? If it is a form 12, you only need to register for PAYE anytime.

Maybe a quick phone call to your local tax office might be the easiest method to de register the agent.

I have my form 12 filled out already. I changed my civil status from single to married and have a child due any day now. I have no idea if I'm due any tax back from last year (probably not) but if I am I don't want it to go to taxback.com, which is why I want to remove them as my agent. I removed their bank details and put my own in, that's all it would allow me to do.

You don't need ROS at all. You need to be registered for my account which you are. This gives you access to PAYE Anytime which you have used. If you can't remove the agent link via PAYE Anytime then drop Revenue a request for it to be removed via the my enquiries section of my account. That's it.

Thanks, I've done the last part, been waiting a few days (I'm sure they're very busy this time of year). Thanks all for the help :)

Hi, just got a reply from them there and they just said they have removed them as my agent. So if you submit an enquiry asking them to do the same then then that works :)
