I've a friend who is interested to study in a English course in Ireland, but she wants to come to visit Ireland first to decide if she's committed to it.

She is from Hong Kong, so she doesn't need a visa to travel in Ireland as a visitor.

The question we have is - is it possible that she come to Ireland as a visitor, and if she decided to study the course, she then register to the immigration office to apply for a longer term student stay?
