Incorrect P60

I just wanted to know whether I am right in pushing my employer to give me a correct P60; payroll don't seem to think it's an issue. But the P60 I received only reflects my pay and tax (and employer PRSI) as of Dec 6th, not the year end, for some reason. Since we were audited last year because my OH's payroll department made a mess of monumental proportions, I am very keen to have a correct one on hand, but am being told " it's only for your records" And as I need to submit a claim for dental expenses, it's definitely going to get used.

Mare sure you get a correct P60.

A wrong P60 means either you were given cash in hand between 6 December and 31 December or your pay between 6 December and 31 December is being taxed in 2017 which you don't want for obvious reasons.

I got paid on 23rd Dec. After lengthy email correspondence a correct P60 has been promised. Thanks for confirming that I was correct in persevering with my expectation of an accurate statement.
