Well it's only the treaty's with the uk that are going to change not every trade agreement.

Yea the nz lamb going into the uk is going to be a concern but hopefully we'll be above it on the shelves

Huge number of sheep/lamb from across the border get processed in the Republic. Will Brexit make it harder to "import" these animals? If so, this would reduce overall supply in Republic.

Might Brexit actually be good for sheep?

The is a similar thread on the uk farming boards, and the sheep farmers there seem very worried.
As France is a big export market for them - will they lose access to that?

Hard to know what will happen... lot of ifs and buts...

EDIT : sorry, I see the OP mentioned the French thing already... ;)

Well if brexit is going to happen i cant see how these northern/uk lambs can be still slaughtered down here, i know back a few years ago i worked in icm navan and half their kill was northern lambs every day, surely the low price at the minute has a lot to do with these uk lambs coming into our markets and is more of a cause than the currency markets?

    There is no if anymore.

There is a lot going to happen in the north and the election will have a big bearing on what happens with them.
